A fresh take on my beloved Bustelo-inspired Miami Runs on Cafecito—this time surrounded by flowers, color, and a little bit of the magic that happens when you paint from life.

This piece was created during a live painting event using locally grown zinnias and butterfly bush brought by my friend, who was also painting alongside me. Zinnias are some of my favorite flowers, and of course, a good cafecito is always close to my heart.

There’s something special about bringing together a few of your favorite things and letting them become a painting—fresh flowers from a friend’s garden, Cuban coffee, vibrant color, and the joy of creating alongside someone else.
