Meet the artist
Hi, I’m Tania Marie — an artist and storyteller who embraces the art of noticing. I’m drawn to the beauty in everyday moments: sunlight pouring into a kitchen, a weathered door, a vase of flowers, a cherished keepsake, or a color combination that simply catches my eye. These little details often become the starting point for a painting.
As a Cuban-American born and raised in Miami, nostalgia naturally finds its way into my work. I love painting the places, objects, colors, and moments that feel like home—and creating pieces that make someone say, “Oh my gosh, that reminds me of my grandmother!” That reaction is everything to me.
A few years ago, my family and I traded our Florida roots for Central, Virginia, in search of four seasons. We absolutely love it here, and nature has become a growing source of inspiration. Flowers, in particular, have captured my attention—their colors, shapes, and intricate details never cease to amaze me.
Whether I’m painting a memory from Miami, a little piece of Cuban culture, or something beautiful I noticed in my own backyard, my hope is that something in my work speaks to you—that it brings back a memory, stirs a feeling, or reminds you of someone or somewhere you love.
I’m so happy you’re here, and truly honored that you’ve taken the time to step into my little corner of the art world. I hope you find something here that resonates with you—and if you don’t see exactly what you’re looking for, just ask! I love bringing meaningful ideas to life through commissions.
